What’s your brand?
How would you describe it?
Are you “magical” like Disney or “convenient” like Amazon or “crunchy” like Kashi?
Nothing so distinct, maybe, but you DO have a brand.
Whether you know it or not, you’ve been building your brand for years, decades even.
Because when you’re a small business, YOU are the brand.
Patients come to see you, the person, not the company.
They may read about you online, talk to your office manager (if you have one), and get your emails.
But when they show up at the clinic, you will be the one treating them.
You can’t hide it.
That’s a good thing.
It means you don’t have to try to be someone else on social media.
You don’t have to appeal to people you wouldn’t want to meet.
You don’t have to be everything you think a PT should be.
You can just be yourself.
That’s your brand.
You’ll do a lot better when you accept it than when you try to create a false image.
So take a look at your website and your social media and your newsletter.
Does it sound like you?
Is it something you would write or read?
Is it directed at the people who will actually show up in your clinic?
It may not be like everyone else’s.
It may not follow the guru formulas.
It may not seem “professional.”
Good!
It will be you.
You can’t change that.
And there’s no avoiding it when they step into the clinic.
