End of the year

The end of the year doesn’t have to be slow

I often hear from clients and other PT owners that the end of the year is a slow time for their business.

It’s true that patients are often busy with holidays, out of town, low on insurance benefits, or spending a lot on Christmas presents.

That doesn’t mean you have to accept making less in the winter.

The end of the year can also be a booming time for your business.

Some patients may have more time off work or school to come see you, want to get care before their deductibles reset, or need to spend their FSA money at the last minute.

A carefully crafted reactivation campaign can help you meet some of that demand.

This is the perfect time to reach out to all your past patients to see if they need your help.

A few, quick emails checking in on them, reminding them of your services, or offering some year-end deals can pay big dividends.

Remember, these people already know and love you (right?), and some of them probably could use your help this holiday season, so do them a favor by letting them know you’re available.

Take a hour this weekend to brainstorm and write 2-3 short emails you can send out next week.

Here are some ideas to get you started.

Email 1

  • Checkup: Are you feeling ready for the busy holidays?
  • 5 tips for surviving the holiday season
  • 3 ways to eat well while staying healthy this holiday season

Email 2:

  • Give yourself the gift of feeling great this Christmas
  • Could you use a little TLC this holiday season?
  • Aches and pains being a grinch this year? Cheer up!

Email 3:

  • A little holiday present from [CLINIC NAME]
  • Get 50% off a pain-relieving massage, just in time for Christmas
  • Need a tuneup before the holiday craziness starts? Take 25% off all dry needling now

These don’t need to be long essays, just a brief paragraph or three to remind your patients that you’re around, offer to help them if they need it, and give them an incentive to reach out.

You can even repurpose tips or tricks you use elsewhere, and hold on to them for next year, too.

An hour or two of work could earn you a few more visits when you’re otherwise slow.

That adds up.

Use it to buy yourself something nice this year.
